Iranian diaspora news outlet IranWire has interviewed an unnamed Islamic Republic official claiming that officials in Tehran have grown increasingly concerned about Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei’s health after a reduction in communication from his office. The diplomat also told the outlet the vast majority of the Islamic Republic’s top officials have been “completely out of touch” with Khamenei. According to the anonymous source, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani and former First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber reportedly maintain the most contact with Khamenei.
