U.S. Special Envoy for Iran Rob Malley has confirmed that his security clearance is under review, and reports have suggested the FBI is involved. We urge the Biden Administration including the State Department, the Justice Department, and law enforcement to conduct a thorough investigation into Mr. Malley’s conduct as Special Envoy.

Furthermore, the Biden administration’s lack of transparency with Congress, the media, and the public over the last several months is unacceptable and requires accountability. We therefore also urge Congress to conduct a thorough investigation into both Mr. Malley’s conduct and the Biden administration’s handling of this issue.
