About This Initiative
NUFDI developed a 15-point policy in conjunction with leading think tank experts across the ideological spectrum and leading Iranian activists. This initiative represents a complement to maximum pressure — offering a new strategic direction for Iran policy.
Maximum Support can guide executive departments, Congress, and a future administration on how to support the Iranian people in their democratic aspirations. This third way for U.S.-Iran policy serves the best interest of the Iranian people and the United States.
The launch event featured discussions on Four Decades of U.S. Policy, Why Maximum Support, International Solidarity, and How the West Can Lead — with speakers including Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, Behnam Taleblu (FDD), Brian Katulis (MEI), Karim Sadjadpour (Carnegie Endowment), and members of the Canadian and Belgian parliaments.
